Most independent artists struggle to finish one album.

KNIGHT decided to build one hundred songs.

That number alone changes how you look at his journey.

Because whether the project succeeds commercially or not, creating a 100-track body of work demands something most artists never develop: endurance.

Not talent.

Not marketing.

Endurance.

The ability to keep writing, recording, releasing, and believing long after the excitement of starting disappears.

And for KNIGHT (Shreyansh Mishra), that endurance has become the defining theme of his artistic identity.


Based in Prayagraj, KNIGHT's relationship with music began through inspiration and self-expression.

Like many artists of his generation, he found himself influenced by the work of Imran Khan, whose melodic style helped shape the early imagination of countless independent musicians across South Asia.

But inspiration alone doesn't explain why someone commits to creating a hundred songs.

That comes from something deeper.

A desire to document growth in real time.

A desire to leave behind evidence of the journey itself.


What stands out about KNIGHT's story is that he doesn't frame music around milestones, trends, or industry validation.

Instead, he repeatedly returns to one central idea: self-reflection.

For him, music appears to function less as entertainment and more as a personal record of evolution.

The themes in his work revolve around looking inward, understanding personal experiences, and translating those thoughts into structured songwriting. That focus naturally influences his approach to lyricism, where he emphasizes unique song structures and unconventional construction rather than simply following familiar formulas.

His goal isn't necessarily to make listeners hear what everyone else is hearing.

It's to make them pay attention.


That mindset becomes particularly visible through ECLIPSING A 100, the ambitious long-form project that now defines much of his catalog.

While many artists think in terms of singles, EPs, or traditional albums, KNIGHT chose scale.

Huge scale.

According to him, more than sixty tracks from the project have already been released worldwide, with the remaining forty scheduled to complete the vision.

Viewed from a traditional industry perspective, that strategy might seem excessive.

Viewed from an artistic perspective, it becomes something else entirely.

An experiment in persistence.

A test of how far a creator can push a single idea before reaching the finish line.


The challenge, unsurprisingly, isn't making music anymore.

It's getting people to discover it.

Like countless independent artists operating outside major ecosystems, KNIGHT identifies marketing as his biggest obstacle. Creating the work is one battle. Getting attention in a crowded digital landscape is another.

And perhaps that's where his story becomes relatable.

Because today's independent music world rarely rewards volume alone.

Artists are competing against algorithms, short attention spans, and an endless stream of content arriving every day.

Finishing a hundred songs may be difficult.

Convincing people to listen is often harder.


There is also an interesting tension in how he views himself creatively.

When asked what people misunderstand about him, his answer is simple: they think he's too futuristic.

Whether that refers to his songwriting structure, creative ideas, or long-term vision, it reveals an artist who sees himself slightly ahead of the moment he's currently in.

Sometimes that's confidence.

Sometimes it's isolation.

Often it's both.

Many artists spend years waiting for listeners to catch up to ideas they already believe in.


At its core, KNIGHT's journey isn't really about a single track or a single release.

With the final forty songs of ECLIPSING A 100 expected to arrive soon, KNIGHT stands on the edge of completing a project few independent artists would even attempt.

Because while success is often measured by numbers, streams, and visibility, there is another metric that matters just as much.

Finishing what you started.

And in an industry filled with unfinished ideas, that alone is a rare achievement.
